SERB CHURCHES IN SANSKI MOST SET ON FIRE BY MEMBERS OF THE SO-CALLED BiH ARMY

SARAJEVO, APRIL 14 /SRNA/ - In October 1995, members of the so-called Army of BiH set fire to all the villages, Orthodox churches and parish homes in Sanski Most and killed all the Serbs they encountered, the Committee protecting Serbs' rights in FBiH announced.

Regarding the Bosniak politicians' claim that "key objects of religious and cultural content of other nations have been preserved" in the territory controlled by the so-called Army of BiH, the Committee asks who then set fire to the Orthodox churches in the area of Sanski Most? "Whose army set fire to the Serbian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist in the village of Jelašinovci, built in 1869? Whose army set fire to the Church of St. Elijah in the village of Lipnik outside Sanski Most? Whose army set fire to the Church of St. Mark in the village of Dabar outside Sanski Most?" asked the Committee. According to the Committee, these churches were set on fire in October 1995, when the so-called Army of BiH burned down all the villages, Serb churches and parish homes in Sanski Most, and skilled all the Serbs they encountered. On March 18 in Sarajevo, Bosniak leaders signed a statement "condemning hate speech, Islamophobia and false narratives about Bosniaks and BiH" in which they stated that in the territory under the control of the so-called Army of BiH, which was "mostly made up of Bosniaks, key objects and contents of the religious and cultural identity of other communities have been preserved".
