MINIĆ: FREE TEXTBOOKS FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN NEW SCHOOL YEAR

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 30 /SRNA/ - Savo Minić, Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, said that the idea of free textbooks for elementary school students in Republika Srpska will be implemented by the beginning of the new school year, for which the Government will allocate BAM 10 million.

Minić stated that the Government of Republika Srpska had adopted the relevant measures and forwarded them to the Association of Municipalities and Cities of Republika Srpska. "Cities will participate with 30 percent, municipalities with 20 percent, while extremely underdeveloped municipalities will not participate," Minić said at a press conference in Banja Luka. He stressed that this is a way of demonstrating care for the youngest residents of Republika Srpska, as well as concern for living standards. "We are trying, as much as possible, to create an environment in which the Government of Republika Srpska is a partner to all categories of the population, while indirectly helping parents as well," Minić emphasized.
