KOŠARAC: DOBROVOLJAČKA STREET – CRIME WITHOUT PUNISHMENT
SARAJEVO, MAY 2 /SRNA/ - The crime committed against members of the JNA in Dobrovoljačka Street in Sarajevo on May 2 and 3, 1992, is key evidence that the then Muslim leadership wanted and provoked a war in BiH to achieve its political goals, said Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac.
Košarac stated that this monstrous crime was a crime against peace and that this is the only truth, regardless of how much Bosniak political structures try to conceal it through lies and the falsification of wartime events in BiH. “The crime in Dobrovoljačka Street in Sarajevo, committed on May 2 and 3, 1992, against members of the JNA, innocent young men and civilians, is key evidence that the then Muslim leadership wanted and provoked a war in BiH to achieve its political goals," stated Košarac. Košarac said that Serbs have been waiting for justice for 34 years for the killed Serb sons, brothers, and fathers, and that the pain has not diminished. “The gunshots fired at innocent people, young soldiers who were trying to leave Sarajevo in a convoy after an agreement had been reached, were shots fired at peace and freedom. No one has been held accountable for their deaths," Košarac stated. It is frightening, he says, that even after more than three decades, there has been no judicial epilogue to this crime. “The judiciary is blind to Serb victims,” Košarac said. He emphasized that there is no justice for Serb victims, nor accountability for those who committed atrocities and monstrous crimes against Serbs. “Dobrovoljačka Street remains recorded as a place of a terrible crime and an eternal shame for those who committed it, as well as for those who did nothing to ensure that the criminals and perpetrators were held accountable in a timely manner,” Košarac wrote on Instagram.
