DODIK: I EXPECT SECURITY COUNCIL TO DECLARE ALL OF SCHMIDT'S DECISIONS NULL AND VOID

MOSCOW, MAY 8 /SRNA/ - SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik states he expects the UN Security Council at its upcoming session to declare Christian Schmidt's mission illegal and annul all of his decisions.

MOSCOW, MAY 8 /SRNA/ - SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik states he expects the UN Security Council at its upcoming session to declare Christian Schmidt's mission illegal and annul all of his decisions.

"I expect that the session the UN Security Council will state that this is an illegal mission and that the consequences produced by Schmidt must disappear, meaning that the decisions he made must be declared null and void," Dodik told media outlets from Republika Srpska in Moscow. Dodik stressed that Republika Srpska would seek this from its partners in the United States, Russia, China, as well as from those who are part of a policy of common sense rather than imagination, such as the EU. "Schmidt will disappear from BiH through a Security Council decision declaring that this situation is unbearable. I expect him to be completely rejected and eliminated, along with everything he has done. That alone would give BiH a chance," Dodik emphasized. According to Dodik, dialogue among the constituent peoples in BiH cannot begin unless Schmidt and his legacy disappear. "Such BiH is impossible and has failed. There are reasonable people in the Security Council who will do this at the upcoming session. Waiting another six months for the next Security Council session would be another nail in the coffin of BiH," Dodik said. He stressed that there can be no discussion about Schmidt's legacy and that Republika Srpska will not participate in it. "Christian Schmidt was not appointed by a Security Council decision, and that is the key fact regarding him, in addition to the fact that the foreign signatories of the Dayton Peace Agreement never proposed him," Dodik said.
