INTENSIVE REPUBLIKA SRPSKA - SAINT PETERSBURG COOPERATION TO BE RAISED TO HIGHER LEVEL
BANJA LUKA, May 12 /SRNA/ – Republika Srska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić and Chairman of External Relations Committee of St. Petersburg Government Evgeny Grigoriev emphasized that the excellent long-standing cooperation between Republika Srpska and Saint Petersburg in many areas can be raised to a higher level.
It was stressed that Republika Srpska and Saint Petersburg have developed cooperation in the fields of education, medicine and new technologies, while cooperation is especially strong in relations between the executive and legislative authorities. Stevandić said that today's meeting concluded that cooperation can be elevated to a higher level and become highly visible to the residents of Republika Srpska and Saint Petersburg. "After several of our attendance at economic and environmental forums, as well as my speech at the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg, we now have the opportunity to host a large delegation from Saint Petersburg. I have repeatedly reported on the numerous agreements we have signed," Stevandić said at a press conference in Banja Luka. Grigoriev announced that the time has come to define a new roadmap for mutual cooperation, which will determine new directions and strengthen existing ones. "Cooperation is visible in many areas, and all of it is highly beneficial and in the interest of our two peoples," Grigoriev said. He added that it is a great honour to be visiting Republika Srpska just a few days after the delegation from Republika Srpska visited Moscow, where they celebrated the shared victory in World War II. Grigoriev believes that cooperation between the Serb and Russian peoples should serve as a positive example for other nations. After the meeting at the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, the two delegations laid wreaths at the Monument to the Fallen Fighters of the National Liberation War.
