CVIJANOVIĆ: OHR MECHANISM HAS NO PLACE IN MODERN DEMOCRATIC SYSTEMS
ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović questioned why anyone should be appointed as high representative at all, stating that the OHR system of operation is undemocratic and completely outdated.
"If it is the guarantee of the existence of a country, as some say, then that country has very poor prospects for the future", Cvijanović wrote on the social network X. She noted that everyone is competing in speculation about who will be appointed to the position of high representative. "And everyone wants to be among those who supposedly `know the most` or are `best informed`. This creates false relevance in a world where every piece of news lasts only a few hours", Cvijanović added. Cvijanović questioned again why anyone should be appointed, although she believes that such an appointment will take place. "It is enough that there is a number two who, unlike Christian Schmidt, has not announced his withdrawal, and who can manage affairs related to closing such a monstrous creation, which, from an intended decent international supervision, has turned into dictatorial administration without grounding in international or domestic law", Cvijanović pointed out. According to her, the starting whistle for the race has already been heard and many have started running. "Who will finish, and whether anyone will, remains to be seen. In any case, no one is talking about procedures. But why would they, when in BiH procedures are always misused?" Cvijanović wondered.
