SRPSKA DELEGATION’S VISIT CONFIRMS STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

SARAJEVO, MAY 13 /SRNA/ - Russian Ambassador to BiH Igor Kalabukhov told SRNA that the Republika Srpska delegation's visit to Moscow is another confirmation of the strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and Republika Srpska, which citizens will benefit from.

"The talks held with President Vladimir Putin is further proof that we engage in constructive dialogue, with mutual respect, and that we can achieve practical results," Kalabukhov emphasized. He noted that it was important that the Republika Srpska delegation, consisting of Interior Minister Siniša Karan, National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić, and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, attended the Victory Day parade marking the defeat of fascism, adding that the two peoples share an anti-fascist heritage and will certainly achieve all future victories together as well. Kalabukhov stressed that another confirmation of good relations is the visit of the Saint Petersburg delegation to Republika Srpska, as well as the Days of Russian Culture held in Srpska. Speaking about the strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and Republika Srpska, Kalabukhov pointed out that it is not merely something on paper, but something concrete that every person must feel. "During the visit to Moscow, professors, doctors, cultural workers, technology experts and others were also present, because we are developing our relations at all levels," Kalabukhov stated. Kalabukhov announced that economic issues will be the topic of meetings of the Russia-BiH commissions on economic affairs, within which a special working group for relations between Russia and Republika Srpska has been established. As for relations between Russia and BiH, Kalabukhov says efforts are being made to improve cooperation and that draft agreements already exist. "There are certain specific circumstances given the new geopolitical situation, but overall I hope we will witness stronger cooperation because, in discussions with businesspeople and representatives of political parties, we see interest among entrepreneurs across BiH. I am optimistic and believe we have good prospects," the Russian ambassador emphasized.
