NEBENZYA: IRRESPONSIBLE WESTERN POLICY MAIN THREAT TO BiH STABILITY
NEW YORK, MAY 13 /SRNA/ - The main threat to the stability of BiH is the irresponsible policy of Western countries aimed at destroying the decentralized architecture established by the Dayton Peace Agreement, Russian UN Ambassador Vasily Nebenzya assessed.
He wrote on Telegram that the situation in BiH remains under the "close scrutiny" of the UN Security Council due to deeply rooted interethnic tensions. "Instead of supporting the equality of the three /constituent/ peoples, external stakeholders are deliberately undermining the political foundations of BiH, leading to a dangerous governance crisis and risking the undermining of years of efforts to achieve a peaceful settlement in the region," Nebenzya said. He added that attempts to replace international law with Western "regulations" have faced strong condemnation from Russia.
