CVIJANOVIĆ: TESTIMONIES ON SUFFERING - OBLIGATION AND RESPONSIBILITY

BANJA LUKA, MAY 19 /SRNA/ - Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović thanked the Republika Srpska Memorial Center for the largest database of recorded testimonies on the suffering of the Serbian people in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, calling it a great undertaking that represents great responsibility and obligation.

"This is indeed both memorial and documentary centre – a personal, family and historical reminder. It is a debt to Republika Srpska, worth the attention and support," Cvijanović said at the Centre's ceremonial academy. She thanked the institutions of Republika Srpska that helped the work of the Memorial Center. "With special gratitude, we should observe the enthusiasm of young people who decided to open the door to the future by opening the door to the past," said Cvijanović. She added that the difficult testimonies oblige everyone to understand that Republika Srpska is their only home.
