SAJIĆ: DIASPORA WELCOMES OPENING OF NEW GRADIŠKA BORDER CROSSING

STUTTGART, MAY 21 /SRNA/ - BiH Consul General in Stuttgart Vera Sajić said that the politicization of the opening of the new border crossing in Gradiška, along with what she described as inappropriate comments and complaints coming from political Sarajevo after the event, do not reflect the views of the diaspora of any people.

"The diaspora is satisfied and happy about the opening of the new border crossing in Gradiška," Sajić told SRNA. She noted that the bridge represents the busiest border crossing in the region, with more than EUR 100 million invested in the project, and that it will significantly reduce congestion while speeding up and simplifying border crossings for everyone. "For anyone living in European countries and traveling back home, the opening of the bridge means a great deal, because reducing waiting times at the border is extremely important for people who travel ten hours or more," she assessed. Sajić concluded that the political saga seen in recent months was "an attack on common sense, economic and business standards, but also against people hurrying home from abroad."
