KARAN: SPASOVDAN PRESERVES CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL HERITAGE OF SERB PEOPLE
BANJA LUKA, MAY 21 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Siniša Karan extended greetings on the occasion of the Ascension of the Lord - Spasovdan, the patron saint day of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the City of Banja Luka, to the faithful, clergy and all citizens of Banja Luka.
"By celebrating Spasovdan, a holiday of spiritual joy and unity, we preserve the cultural and historical heritage of the Serb people, which has sustained and united us through the centuries", Karan stated in his congratulatory message. Karan expressed confidence that Banja Luka will continue in the coming period along the path of success, development and new achievements, with strong support from republican institutions, which have so far been an important pillar in the implementation of numerous significant projects. "With the wish that through joint effort we continue to build an even more successful and stronger Banja Luka, to the pride of its residents and the entire Republika Srpska, I once again extend my sincere congratulations", the President's message reads. Banja Luka will today mark the city's patron saint day, the Ascension of the Lord - Spasovdan, in the spirit of tradition.
