VIENNA, MAY 23 /SRNA/ - The concert at the prestigious "Richard Wagner" Conservatory in Vienna was an exceptional opportunity to promote the musical creativity of composers from Republika Srpska and BiH on the international stage, and the Viennese audience enthusiastically accepted the works of domestic authors, pianist Bartolomej Stanković told SRNA.

Stanković stated that it was an honor for him to open the concert with the composition "Ein Albumblatt" by Richard Wagner, on the birthday of this famous German composer after whom the Viennese Conservatory is named. Stanković noted that the administration of the "Richard Wagner" Conservatory offered to continue cooperation through the studio recording of Dražan Kosorić's composition "The Waste Land" /"Pusta zemlja"/, as well as student exchanges with the Academy of Music of the University of East Sarajevo during the 2026/2027 academic year. He emphasized that he was very happy to present the works of professors and composers of the Academy of Music of the University of East Sarajevo in the heart of Vienna, including Vojislav Ivanović, Valentina Dutina, Zoran Komadina, Peđa Hart, Dražan Kosorić, and academician Vojin Komadina. "The first part of the concert was dedicated to the works of composers from Republika Srpska and BiH. Special enthusiasm was aroused by Dražan Kosorić's compositions 'The Waste Land' and 'Postludium', as well as Vojin Komadina's compositions 'Microsonatas' and 'Refrain Six - Linđo'," said Stanković. He particularly singled out the composition "Microsonatas" by academician Komadina, which he described as an avant-garde work in exploring the sound of the piano, and recalled that this academician had collaborated with leading European composers of modern music, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Milko Kelemen. In the second part of the concert, Stanković performed Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Fantasy in C minor", Franz Liszt's "Ballade in B minor", as well as a concert paraphrase on Johann Strauss's operetta "Die Fledermaus" /"The Bat"/, written by Austrian pianist and composer Alfred Grünfeld. "Such performances are an excellent opportunity to promote the cultural and musical identity of Republika Srpska and BiH abroad," stated Stanković, adding that he was satisfied with the reactions of the Viennese audience. The concert was attended by representatives of the BiH Embassy in Austria, BiH Ambassador Siniša Bencun, and Cultural Attaché Sanja Tančica.
