FLYNN: A COUNTRY NEEDS DECISIVE LEADER
BANJA LUKA, MAY 28 /SRNA/ – Chairman of the Gold Institute, General Michael Flynn, said that the progress of a country requires a decisive leader who is not afraid of risk, but rather implements their promises into action.
"To get where we are today, we need people who take concrete steps, because many people talk about what should be done, but few actually put it into practice. That requires effort, knowledge, resources, and courage," Flynn said in his address at the European Summit on Economy and Security in Banja Luka. He emphasized that he values leaders, organisations, and individuals who, when they say they will do something, actually follow through. "We are here because our leaders took risks. As we grow older, we become less willing to take risks, and we may one day wake up and wonder where our life went," Flynn noted. Flynn stated that risk is not the same as gambling, but rather a calculated action that takes circumstances, stakes, and outcomes into account. "My personal goal as an American is to fight and protect America. And our goal, as the president of the Institute Eli Gold said, is the struggle for freedom," Flynn said at the summit attended by more than 100 participants from over 20 countries. According to him, freedom allows people to think, believe, and speak, which encourages innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity. "If you are in a society that breaks your spirit and freedom, you will not prosper despite everything. I have seen this in many places around the world, especially during my military career," Flynn warned.
