FROM ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLICATIONS TO THE LATEST TRENDS IN BRONCHOLOGY AND ONCOLOGY
BANJA LUKA, MAY 29 /SRNA/ – The expert May Pulmonology Days Conference has begun in Banja Luka, bringing together experts in pulmonology, intensive care medicine, and related medical fields with the aim of improving pulmonology services in healthcare institutions in Republika Srpska, the region, and beyond.
The topics of the conference are diverse, ranging from the application of artificial intelligence to the latest trends in bronchology and oncology. Minister of Health and Social Welfare of Republika Srpska Alen Šeranić emphasized at the opening of the conference that the gathering of experts from different countries is extremely important for the exchange of experience and knowledge in order to further improve pulmonology. He expressed confidence that the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases will be further advanced. Šeranić congratulated the Association of Pulmonologists/Pneumophthisiologists of Republika Srpska on successfully organising this event for 35 years, and stated that they will always have the support of the Ministry of Health. Association Head Mirko Stanetić said that this conference stands out in quality compared to others, and that doctors aim to be of the greatest benefit to patients. Acting Director General of the University Clinical Center /UCC/ of Republika Srpska Nikola Šobot stated that the conference represents, in a way, a chronicle of the development of pulmonology in the healthcare system of Republika Srpska, and has contributed scientifically and professionally to that development. Head of the UCC Clinic for Pulmonary Diseases Mladen Duronjić said that the clinic has developed into a reputable institution with more than 100 employees, including around thirty doctors. Approximately 250 experts from Republika Srpska, BiH, the region, and Europe are participating in the 35th May Pulmonology Days. The conference will last until Sunday, May 31.
