SARAJEVO, JUNE 1 /SRNA/ – China and BiH have achieved a number of tangible results in recent years through the Belt and Road Initiative, with particularly significant achievements in the areas of green development and energy transition, which have made a positive contribution to BiH's economic and social development, Chinese Ambassador to BiH Li Fan said today.

Speaking at a press briefing in Sarajevo, Li emphasized that during the current five-year period China will accelerate scientific and technological innovation, promote the upgrading of its industrial structure toward intelligent, green, and integrated development, and further deepen the implementation of the AI Plus Initiative. "At the same time, China will continue to promote the transformation and modernization of traditional industries. These measures will create broader opportunities for cooperation with BiH in the fields of trade, finance, services, and clean energy," Li stressed. She noted that the Chinese side consistently advocates cooperation with BiH, as well as with Europe, and pointed out that China is ready to share the benefits of development, achieve mutual benefit, and promote common prosperity. Speaking about Chinese diplomacy, Li highlighted that since the beginning of this year the number of world leaders visiting China has reached an unprecedented level, noting that the leaders of the other four permanent members of the United Nations Security Council have visited Beijing. "China consistently pursues an independent and peaceful foreign policy. It does not distinguish between countries on the basis of ideology, does not form alliances, does not engage in bloc confrontations, and does not seek hegemony," Ambassador Li stated. She recalled that in May this year, while holding the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council, China initiated a high-level meeting entitled "Upholding the Purposes and Principles of the UN Charter and Strengthening the International System with the UN at Its Core".
