AFTER SCHMIDT, NO ONE WILL EVER THREATEN RIGHTS OF SERBS

BELGRADE, JUNE 2 /SRNA/ - President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić said that after Christian Schmidt, no one will ever threaten the rights of Serbs, noting that geopolitical factors are now taking note of Srpska's interests and understanstand them much better.

"Whatever happens with the high representative, I expect that interventionism in BiH and endangering the rights of Serbs will never return," Stevandić said. Stevandić emphasized that Republika Srpska cannot command geopolitical moves, but with the wisdom of its leaders, it contributed to the fact that geopolitical factors now respect the interests of Srpska and understand much better than before that Serbs are an integral factor of peace in BiH and that the most important policy is the one that preserves peace. "They realized that it was the Serbs who played a key role in preserving peace in BiH. The fact that we also preserved the Republika Srpska cannot be a minus for us, but only a plus," Stevandić told Večernje Novosti. On the statement that there are many complaints in the public about the fact that the National Assembly canceled some of its earlier decisions that were made against Schimdt, Stevandić said that the one only needs to "look at the scoring board, where Schmidt is no longer there". "The results of Republika Srpska count. It has been shown that we have set our position superiorly. Even when we voted to cancel the decisions made, we proved that they cannot be canceled by the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH, but only by the one that is stronger than the Constitutional Court - Republika Srpska. Enough for the smart ones..." Stevandić said. When asked if the Serb corps can survive all the attacks of foreign factors, Stevandić emphasized that the greatest strength of the Serb people is the strong Serbia, which is the largest in the community. "And we must go into the future only together with Serbia. We will continue our cooperation with Serbia always and unconditionally, regardless of the pressures and geopolitical processes in the world," pointed out Stevandić.
