ATV: BOSNIAK FAVORITE KAREN PIERCE NO LONGER IN THE GAME
BANJA LUKA, JUNE 2 /SRNA/ - The Great Britain's Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Karen Pierce, who was one of the main favorites of political Sarajevo for the job of new high representative in BiH, is no longer in the game, the Alternative Television /ATV/ reports, citing diplomatic circles.
Pierce was considered a desirable candidate in Bosniak political and media circles because of her attitudes and activities, which in Republika Srpska were often evaluated as directed against the interests and Dayton position of Srpska. However, as ATV learns, her name is no longer among the options for the new high representative. Thus, as stated, one of the scenarios that the political centers in Sarajevo were seriously counting on has failed. Instead of a candidate from whom they expected to continue the policy of strong interventionism of the OHR, political Sarajevo is now left without its most prominent favorite, while the question of a new high representative in BiH still remains open.
