JAHORINA, JUNE 2 /SRNA/ - From today, Poljice Cable Car bears the name of Boban Kusturić, the President of the Supervisory Board of the Jahorina Olympic Center Nedeljko Elek told SRNA.



"Boban Kusturić was a man who has been with Jahorina for many years, who left an indelible mark on our mountain with his work, dedication and selfless commitment. During the last eight years, he was part of numerous stories that made Jahorina safer, stronger and more successful. His contribution remains permanently woven into its development and its future," said Elek. He said that Boban left this world too soon, but his memory continues to live, among people, in the sky that he loved so much and in Jahorina, to which he gave a lot. "May every ride in this cable car be a reminder of a man with a big heart and great deeds. May your sky be clear, Boban," said Elek. Boban Kusturić /52/, the head of the Aviation Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska, died on May 5 in Banja Luka. He worked as a pilot in the Republika Srpska Army from 1997 to 2005. After that, he continued working in the Directorate for Civil Aviation of Republika Srpska as the head of the Rescue Helicopter Unit SAR - Republika Srpska. He performed the duties of the director of the Helicopter Service of Republika Srpska from 2008 to April 2025, and after its reorganization and the formation of the Aviation Administration, he performed the duties of the head of the Administration. He was awarded the Order of Miloš Obilić, awarded by the President of Republika Srpska.
