MINIĆ: WE EXPECT NEW AMERICAN AMBASSADOR TO BE REALISTIC AND FAIR

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 2 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska Savo Minić said that he only expects the new American ambassador to BiH to be realistic and fair.

"Nothing else. We did not receive any benefits from the USA. We are not bad guys and we are not on black lists because we do not need to be on them," Minić told reporters in Banja Luka. He added that the new ambassador should not do anything against the Federation of BiH. "May they be safe and sound, just don't touch us anymore," said Minić. US President Donald Trump proposed Ronald Johnson as the new US ambassador to BiH, the White House announced. According to US practice, Trump sent the Senate of the US Congress a proposal for the appointment of ambassadors to numerous countries, including BiH. If the Senate confirms Johnson's appointment, he will officially assume the position of US ambassador to BiH. Johnson is an American brigadier general from Massachusetts, with a rich military career.
