REPUBLIKA SRPSKA DELEGATION ARRIVES IN ST. PETERSBURG
ST. PETERSBURG, JUNE 3 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska delegation arrived in St. Petersburg today to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and was welcomed at the airport by Yevgeny Grigoriev, chairman of the Committee for External Relations and a member of the St. Petersburg government.
The delegation includes SNSD President Milorad Dodik, Republika Srpska Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship Radenko Bubić, and Deputy Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation Nemanja Kovačević. The theme of the 29th International Economic Forum is "Pragmatic Dialogue: The Path to a Stable Future". Russian President Vladimir Putin said the theme was inspired by the need to overcome a period marked by division and discord. "Today, when international relations and economic ties are facing unprecedented challenges, fragmentation and disruptions to logistics and technological chains, pragmatism and equal dialogue are particularly relevant. Let me emphasize that our country has been and remains part of the global economic system", Putin said. The Roscongress Foundation, organizer of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, said Putin expressed hope that substantive discussions would generate new and effective solutions to economic and environmental issues, while examining topics such as energy, digitalization, security, savings, human capital development and overall financial and trade sovereignty. The forum's key segments and areas of focus include global economic challenges, international cooperation and alternative systems of economic interaction. Representatives from more than 130 countries are taking part in the event, with Saudi Arabia serving as this year's guest country. The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum runs through June 6. The plenary session, at which Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to speak, is set for June 5. A team from the News Agency of Republika Srpska /SRNA/ is covering the most important events of this year's 29th International Economic Forum, including the participation of the Republika Srpska delegation.
