SAINT PETERSBURG INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM ENDS

ST. PETERSBURG, JUNE 6 /SRNA/ – The International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg, which was also attended by a Republika Srpska delegation, has ended today.

The Republika Srpska delegation included SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik, Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship Radenko Bubić, and Deputy Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation Nemanja Kovačević. During the forum, the delegation held numerous bilateral meetings, and Dodik awarded Governor Alexander Beglov the Order of the Flag of Republika Srpska with a Golden Wreath. Meetings were also held with delegations from Tatarstan and South Ossetia. The delegation also met with representatives of the Gazprom Company, where the continuation of favourable Russian gas supplies was confirmed. The Republika Srpska delegation attended the plenary session of the 29th Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, where Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed participants, stating that Russia does not need short-term ceasefires but long-term agreements with historical perspective. Putin said that key issues in resolving the conflict should be addressed directly by Russia and Ukraine, while the United States and other countries could act as guarantors. Delegations from more than 100 countries participated in this year’s Forum.
