MINIĆ AND GAŠANOVIĆ OFFICIALLY OPEN “JAGNJIJADA” AT VUČIJA LUKA
ISTOČNI STARI GRAD, JUNE 6 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić and Istočni Stari Grad Mayor Bojo Gašanović today officially opened the 14th gastro-tourism event, Jagnjijada, at Vučija Luka, bringing together around 70 teams from Republika Srpska, BiH, and neighbouring countries.
Also in attendance were Interior Minister Željko Budimir and Istočno Sarajevo Mayor Ljubiša Ćosić. The gastro-tourism event “Jagnjijada” has been held annually at Vučija Luka since 2011. Each year, it attracts an increasing number of visitors not only from BiH but also from across the region, who come to take part in the traditional lamb-roasting competition, tastings, a diverse gastronomic offering, and a cultural and entertainment programme. By a decision of the Republika Srpska Government, “Jagnjijada” has been designated an event of republic-level significance for tourism development, recognising its contribution to promoting the tourism potential of Republika Srpska and supporting the development of the local community.
