THE WEST TRYING TO SEVER ALL SERBS - RUSSIANS COMMUNICATION

MOSCOW, JUNE 13 /SRNA/ – The West is trying to sever all communication between Serbs and Russians, while NATO and the EU are on the same side, and integration into the European Union would not benefit the Serb people, SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik told TASS.

MOSCOW, JUNE 13 /SRNA/ – The West is trying to sever all communication between Serbs and Russians, while NATO and the EU are on the same side, and integration into the European Union would not benefit the Serb people, SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik told TASS.

Dodik explained that the European Union has literarily surrounded Serbia and Republika Srpska, noting that all neighbouring EU member states - Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Italy - are also NATO member states. “At the same time, they are trying to bring Montenegro and Albania into the European Union. That process will probably accelerate. This leaves us as an isolated island from which all communications can easily be severed,” Dodik said. He stated that Serbs are emotionally attached to Russia and that the two peoples are brotherly nations sharing common roots. “But they do not like that. They see our closeness to the Russians, which is why they persistently try to abolish both Serbia and Republika Srpska, thereby resolving the Russian influence issue,” Dodik said. He also pointed out that Europe’s established political elites have not abandoned their militaristic ambitions to transform the European Union into a military alliance rather than a political union, and that they are currently pursuing the goal of creating strategic positions from which to exert pressure on Russia. Dodik said that Europeans continue to wage war against Russia through Ukraine, adding that Kyiv would have been defeated long ago without the support of the EU and its outdated elites, that are trying to turn the European Union into a military alliance rather than a political union. “That is why they are now trying to expand their influence into Moldova, Armenia, and other areas,” Dodik believes. He added their objective is clearly to establish strategic footholds for exerting pressure on Russia and on the eastern direction in general. He noted that Europeans understand that emerging from the current crisis will be difficult and are therefore seeking solutions through militarization. He also assessed that the Starobilsk attack, which had been planned by Kyiv and Europeans, was aimed at provoking public dissatisfaction in Russia. “They hoped to trigger a wave of discontent in Russia. This is a completely perverse way of thinking. In other words, they harmed themselves and then tried to shift the blame onto someone else,” Dodik said. Dodik further claimed that the EU did not want former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder to negotiate with Russia and described EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas as an incapable choice for such a difficult period. “That is a disaster for Europe. I have nothing against women; there are many successful female politicians. But Kaja Kallas is certainly not one of them,” Dodik said. He described Schröder as a capable negotiator and mediator who could properly present Russia’s position in Europe. “It would be interesting to hear him say that European policies over recent years were wrong and that the German economy has suffered because of them,” Dodik said. He also expressed the view that Russia should not place excessive trust in Germany’s supposedly good intentions or in German business circles while Berlin continues to pursue a policy of militarization.
