CVIJANOVIĆ: I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TEAM PLAYER; EVERYTHING I DO IS IN REPUBLIKA SRPSKA’S INTEREST

BELGRADE, JUNE 14 /SRNA/ – The Serb BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović stated that she has always been a team player and that everything she does is done in the interest of Republika Srpska.

BELGRADE, JUNE 14 /SRNA/ – The Serb BiH Presidency member Željka Cvijanović stated that she has always been a team player and that everything she does is done in the interest of Republika Srpska.

Cvijanović said she does not consider herself the most powerful woman in the region because the positions she has held or currently holds are, as she explained, positions from which she can help create or implement important decisions and demonstrate her participation in political processes. “I believe it is important to say that I have always been part of a team. I have never viewed myself as an individual who works alone. Nor have I ever been in a position to do things on my own. I am a team player, and everything I do, I do on behalf of Republika Srpska, for Republika Srpska, and in its interest,” Cvijanović told RTS. She added that, in doing so, she always takes into account the fundamental interests of Republika Srpska and how to position herself in relation to others, noting that in some situations she may dominate. “The political whirlwind in BiH places you in situations where you are constantly under pressure, and in such circumstances you can and must demonstrate a greater degree of understanding, determination, or domination. You have to fight for your place,” Cvijanović emphasized. She added that those involved in political processes must be fighters. “I would describe myself more as someone who is a fighter, someone who does not give up, rather than as someone who is the most powerful when compared to other women involved in politics in the Balkans today,” Cvijanović concluded.
