ADDITIONAL FUNDING TO SUPPORT INNOVATION AND CAPACITY BUILDING
BANJA LUKA, JUNE 18 /SRNA/ – The Government of Republika Srpska has increased funding for science, research and innovation by more than BAM 2 million, providing strong support for the development of these sectors, they stated from the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education today.
"This measure confirms the Government of Republika Srpska's strategic commitment to strengthening research capacities, supporting scientists, researchers and innovators, and creating conditions for faster scientific and technological development in Republika Srpska," the ministry emphasizes in the statement. The statement noted that the additional funding will enable the implementation of a larger number of research projects, the procurement of modern research equipment, the development of innovative solutions, and closer cooperation between the academic community and the business sector. By increasing investment in these areas, Republika Srpska is reaffirming its commitment to recognizing science and technology as key drivers of economic growth and social progress, while providing institutions, researchers and young talents with better conditions for work and professional development, the statement stresses.
