BANJA LUKA, JUNE 27 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik extended greetings on the occasion of Vidovdan/St. Vitus Day, the patron saint's day of the Republika Srpska Army and the Third Infantry /Republika Srpska/ Regiment, stressing that this holiday holds a special place in the collective memory of the Serb people as a symbol of perseverance, sacrifice and unwavering struggle.

Dodik said that Vidovdan reminds us that freedom, unity and national dignity are values that must be preserved and passed on to future generations. "On this great holiday, we remember with special reverence all the fallen soldiers of the Republika Srpska Army, who defended their people, faith and homeland with courage and self-sacrifice, whose sacrifice is built into the foundations of our Republic," Dodik said. He pointed out that their devotion, honourable struggle and love for the homeland oblige us to preserve the truth about their achievements, to cherish the culture of remembrance with pride and to be worthy of the legacy they left behind. In his congratulatory note to Brigadier Goran Maksimović, officers, non-commissioned officers and members of the Third Infantry /Republika Srpska/ Regiment, Dodik expressed confidence that its members would continue to be worthy guardians of the glorious tradition of the Republika Srpska Army, guided by the values of honour, responsibility and professionalism. "With the wish that this great holiday will always bring us together around the ideals of freedom, peace, unity and love for the Republic, I once again congratulate you on your patron saint's day – Vidovdan," Dodik cited in a congratulatory note published on X.
