DODIK: ANNEX 10 SHOULD BE EXAMINED TO DETERMINE IF IT PROVIDES FOR ACTING HIGH REPRESENTATIVE

BANJA LUKA, JULY 1 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik said it is high time that BiH be freed from international oversight and stressed that it should be examined whether Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Agreement provides for the position of acting high representative.

BANJA LUKA, JULY 1 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik said it is high time that BiH be freed from international oversight and stressed that it should be examined whether Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Agreement provides for the position of acting high representative.

Dodik emphasized that the position of Republika Srpska has long been clear, that decision-making in BiH should be the result of an agreement among the legitimate representatives of its three constituent peoples. "We are pleased that this position is also shared by the administration of US President Donald Trump, the Russian Federation and China," Dodik wrote on the social media platform X. He said previous high representatives had created considerable disorder and undermined relations, making it high time for BiH to be freed from international oversight. "It should be examined whether Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Accords provides for the position of acting high representative," Dodik stressed. EU member states and the United States again failed to reach agreement at yesterday's meeting of the Peace Implementation Council /PIC/ Steering Board on the appointment of a new high representative, while Brčko Supervisor Louis Crishock was formally appointed acting high representative pending the appointment of a new one.
