PROTECTION OF SRPSKA'S PROPERTY VITAL NATIONAL INTEREST
BANJA LUKA, JULY 1 /SRNA/ - The Patriots' Association of Republika Srpska and the Organization of Republika Srpska Army Officers said that protecting Republika Srpska's property is a key national priority and the most important vital interest of Republika Srpska and the Serb people because, without property, just as without the Serb people, Republika Srpska would be an empty shell - the outcome its opponents desire.
The two organizations therefore expressed full support for the comprehensive professional and academic analysis, as well as the positions presented by the Republika Srpska Lawyers Association, which they described as a key professional and patriotic body fully qualified to prepare such analyses and formulate clear positions regarding property ownership in BiH. "As emphasized in the analysis and its conclusions, property ownership in BiH is not a political issue but exclusively a constitutional and Dayton-related matter, because the status of property is explicitly defined by the Constitution of BiH, the Constitution of Republika Srpska, and the Dayton Peace Accords as an international treaty," the organizations said. The statement adds that, lacking legal arguments, Bosniak political elites seek to shift the issue into the realm of politics and political maneuvering, and that such efforts must be firmly prevented through all lawful legal means. "Otherwise, this would directly advance the objectives of BiH unitarism and centralism, which would also strengthen militarism while simultaneously fulfilling the ambitions of the so-called European and global liberals," the patriotic organizations and the veterans' organization said. Republika Srpska's rights to its property are legally well established and must remain so, the statement said, adding that the holders of sovereign authority in Republika Srpska must pursue the goals, interests and aspirations of the Serb people, whose support will be unconditional and unwavering. It stressed that all members of the Serb people must unite on this issue, regardless of political affiliation, personal interests or any other differences. "When it comes to property, we must all stand together, and anyone who attempts to step outside that framework will face a strong response from the democratic patriotic potential," the statement underlines. The Patriots Association of Republika Srpska and the Organization of Republika Srpska Army Officers announced that, together with other patriotic organizations in Republika Srpska and beyond, they will organize a series of public gatherings and events focused on defending the key values of Republika Srpska in conditions of peace and stability, with property protection ranking among the highest priorities.
