BANJA LUKA, JULY 2 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Interior of Republika Srpska Željko Budimir handed over the keys to 20 new Škoda Octavia passenger vehicles to the Banja Luka Police Administration today, with the aim of improving the work of police officers in the field and increasing efficiency in the execution of daily duties and tasks.

Budimir pointed out that the modernization of the vehicle fleet is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska, and that the new vehicles will significantly contribute to better mobility of police officers, faster response times in the field, and a more efficient provision of security for citizens. "We are fulfilling our promises. This is the first contingent of vehicles, and by September we expect the successive delivery of 570 vehicles for the needs of the Ministry of Interior. These vehicles are desperately needed by police officers and will certainly contribute to the improvement of police work in the field," said Budimir. On behalf of the Banja Luka Police Administration, the vehicles were received by the Chief of the Administration Đurica Vukelić, who thanked the Ministry of Interior for its continuous support in strengthening the material and technical capacities of the police, as announced by the MoI of Srpska. By procuring new official vehicles, the Ministry of Interior continues its activities to strengthen the capacities of police administrations throughout Republika Srpska, with the aim of raising the level of security and protection for all citizens.
