MINIĆ: SRPSKA'S POSITION IS CLEAR - DECISIONS IMPOSED BY INDIVIDUALS ARE UNACCEPTABLE
BANJA LUKA, JULY 6 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić said that the position of Republika Srpska is clear: any imposition of decisions and influence by individuals on the legislative process and the judiciary is not good for the functioning of BiH.
Minić said that violations of procedures related to the appointment of the High Representative will never be accepted. "They are imposing an overseer in violation of their own regulations. Now those who impose cannot even agree among themselves, so they find a backup and say `he will be the one`. What is there to even comment on?" Minić asked. He also asked how a state union such as BiH can function if someone, by decree or through a decision published on the website of their office, changes the Criminal Code, which should be a serious process involving multiple institutions and analyses. He pointed out that when such actions are taken by a foreign official, everyone remains silent, stressing that even the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is silent on the matter. "How are they not ashamed? Of course they are not ashamed because the goal was to remove the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik. And then one man, illegally, through the system, overrides and disregards hundreds of thousands of votes of citizens of Republika Srpska. What are we supposed to think about such a way of functioning of power in BiH?" Minić said. He noted that there have been more than 800 proceedings and that sentences of up to three years of unconditional prison time are being imposed for inciting religious and national intolerance and hatred, which are draconian penalties that even the harshest autocrats have not introduced.
