DODIK: PIC HAS USURPED CONSTITUENT PEOPLES' RIGHTS
MOSTAR, JULY 13 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik has stated today in Mostar that the Peace Implementation Council /PIC/ had usurped the rights of BiH's constituent peoples.
"They have usurped authority and neither can nor should govern us. When Bosniaks in BiH understand that and sit down with representatives of the other two constituent peoples to agree on what is possible, then BiH will be possible," Dodik said at a news conference after the meeting between delegations of the SNSD and the HDZ BiH. Dodik stressed that BiH could not function while relying on what he described as pressure from foreign actors through the PIC and EU Delegation Head Luigi Soreca, whom he accused of being dishonest. He questioned whether Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Accords contains any provision for an acting High Representative. "In that regard, the PIC can do whatever it wants. The story of the High Representative is being kept alive by a fading empire like Great Britain, which is trying to impose itself here in BiH. There are China, the United States and Russia. Why are they dealing with us? All British officials should be expelled from BiH because of the harm they have caused," Dodik said. He also accused foreign officials of speaking negatively about Republika Srpska and imposing decisions against its interests. "Who are they to say that we cannot organize our own affairs? Who are they to govern us? There is no acting High Representative, there is no PIC. That only contributes to chaos in BiH. Illegal structures are running everything here, while the legitimate institutions are unable to govern under such pressure," Dodik emphasized.
