DODIK: REAFFIRMING SUPPORT FOR CROAT CONSTITUENT STATUS IN BiH

MOSTAR, JULY 13 /SRNA/ – Today, in Mostar, SNSD leader Milorad Dodik has expressed unwavering support for the constituent status of Croats in BiH.

MOSTAR, JULY 13 /SRNA/ – Today, in Mostar, SNSD leader Milorad Dodik has expressed unwavering support for the constituent status of Croats in BiH.

Responding to a reporter's question about a new declaration introduced in the Croatian Parliament concerning the position of Croats in BiH, Dodik said he had been following developments and, based on media reports, fully supported efforts to resolve the issue. "Our support for the constituent status of the Croat people is unwavering. Just as we respect the constituent status of the Serb and Bosniak peoples, we also respect that of the Croat people," Dodik stated at the press conference after a meeting between delegations of the SNSD and the HDZ BiH. Dodik stressed that the constituent status of the Croat people had been significantly undermined and said the same was true of the Serb people. "We Christians here are under pressure from Muslims in BiH, and the world must understand that. Their narrative about a civic BiH has run its course. It cannot be considered a civic or civilizational achievement for them to impose their will on us," Dodik said. Dodik questioned how an individual could hold authority above BiH's sovereign institutions. "The Constitution of BiH states that laws are adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly. No one else. That is why BiH cannot function," Dodik said.
