NO UNITARIST EFFORT CAN DERAIL REPUBLIKA SRPSKA'S SUCCESS AND PROGRESS

ŠEKOVIĆI, JULY 18 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović said that unity and solidarity would enable future successes and progress of Republika Srpska, stressing that no unitarist in BiH could stop plans for its advancement.

"We must always take care of what the interests of Republika Srpska are. We are not people who should live in unitarist dreams or the illusions of others. We need to live in reality and that reality is Republika Srpska," Cvijanović said. She stressed that Republika Srpska must be defended in every possible way - from the local and entity levels to the level of joint institutions. "Likewise, it is necessary to work diligently on the international front as well," Cvijanović told reporters in Šekovići. Commenting on the efforts of BiH Presidency Chairperson Denis Bećirović to implement the decision on the appointment of members of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments, which she declared harmful to the vital interests of Republika Srpska and which was confirmed by the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Cvijanović said these were unitarist demands aimed at turning BiH into something it is not under the Dayton Agreement. "If we remain united and in agreement, as we have been over these more than 30 years, I am certain that Republika Srpska will record only successes and move forward with major steps. No unitarist can stop us in this, nor prevent our plans. Our plans are a stable, strong Republika Srpska, good for every one of its citizens," Cvijanović emphasized.
