CVIJANOVIĆ: SERB VICTIMS ARE REMINDER TO PRESERVE REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SOKOLAC, AUGUST 9 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović has stressed today in Sokolac that the Novi Zejtinlik military cemetery is a reminder of the great Serb sacrifices for the freedom of Republika Srpska, around which Serbs should remain united.

Cvijanović, who is attending today's marking of the patron saint's day of the Association of War Military Invalids of Republika Srpska - St Panteleimon, said it was a great honor to visit this sacred site in Sokolac and remember the Serb victims who sacrificed their lives for freedom. She said that Republika Srpska should be preserved, that work should be done in its interests and that responsibility should be demonstrated in facing all challenges. "Institutions are working and must constantly work to improve the status of war military invalids," Cvijanović told reporters. Commenting on the address to the UN by BiH Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković, Cvijanović said that Serbs would not justify themselves to anyone. Cvijanović added that it was enough simply to look at the graves at Novi Zejtinlik. "Just film all these graves. We do not owe anyone any explanations. We are only obliged to preserve Republika Srpska," Cvijanović concluded.
