AGREEMENT SIGNED TO BUILD CHINESE BATTERY FACTORY IN INĐIJA
BELGRADE, AUGUST 31 /SRNA/ - A Chinese company will build a factory in Inđija to produce high-tech batteries for drones, robots and appliances.
The agreement on the construction of the factory was signed today by representatives of the Serbian Government, the municipality of Inđija and the Chinese company Jiangsu Reliance Energy Technology, in the presence of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić. Vučić emphasized that one of Europe’s largest drone factories would be built within six months. He said the company is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of batteries for robots, drones, household appliances, unmanned vehicles and advanced power tools. "This will contribute to the development of high-tech industries and the transfer of knowledge," Vučić said after the agreement was signed at the Palace of Serbia, thanking Chinese President Xi Jinping. He said this was the first agreement involving an investment of more than 100 million euros in the high-tech zone in Inđija, describing it as another milestone in the country's economic development. The factory in Inđija will be the first overseas investment by this prominent Chinese company.
