THOUSANDS OF REPORTS FILED OVER SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS
SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 3 /SRNA/ – BiH Prosecutor's Office has received several thousand electronic messages from citizens reporting posts or comments on social media and in the media that they considered objectionable, SRNA was told at the Prosecutor's Office.
It said it had also received several complaints from individuals, representatives of political parties and other political entities. "All reports will be analyzed by the prosecutors assigned to the cases and the relevant law enforcement agencies, and the public will be informed of the results at a later date," the Prosecutor's Office said. It added that it had not received a single report from the competent law enforcement agencies in BiH concerning the commission of the criminal offence of inciting national, racial or religious hatred, discord or intolerance. The media have reported that more than 75,000 criminal complaints have been filed through an application against citizens of Republika Srpska over posts published following the death of General Ratko Mladić.
