SERBIA WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO THREATEN SERBS ACROSS THE DRINA

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 10 /SRNA/ — Serbian President's adviser Miloš Vučević told BiH Defense Minister Zukan Helez and regional media sponsors that have rushed to spread his toxic rhetoric, that Serbia is now economically and politically strong and stable and will no longer allow anyone to blackmail or threaten Serbs across the Drina river.

"Republika Srpska and Serbia will remain united in preserving peace, but also determined to defend their vital national interests," Vučević said. He strongly condemned Helez's warmongering call for the abolition of Republika Srpska, saying it amounted to an open call to dismantle the Dayton Peace Accords and continue the politics of hatred towards Serbs. "Calls for the abolition of Republika Srpska and some kind of 'action afterwards' are not empty threats. They represent a direct attack on the constitutional order, peace and the right of the Serb people to live safely on their ancestral land," said Vučević, who also serves as the president of the Serbian Progressive Party. He stressed that Republika Srpska was not a "para-state entity" but an internationally recognized entity guaranteed by the Dayton Agreement and established through the struggle and will of the Serb people. Nemanja Strarović, Serbia's caretaker Minister for European Integration, said leading Bosniak politicians were once again openly calling for steps that could destabilize the Balkans while completely disregarding the Dayton Agreement, which is the foundation of regional peace. "Defense Minister Zukan Helez's call for the abolition of Republika Srpska exposes the long-term goal of Bosniak political elites, which is no longer even concealed behind the rhetoric of a civic state. Treating such remarks as normal does not contribute to preserving peace; instead, it encourages ethnic nationalism and pushes the Balkans towards the edge of conflict," Starović pointed out in a post on X.
