On the occasion of Biljana Plavšić’s death, Minić extended his condolences to her family and friends, noting that she was one of the figures who marked a difficult and significant period in the creation and development of Republika Srpska. "Biljana Plavšić belonged to a generation that, in historically complex and difficult times, assumed responsibility for the fate of the Serb people and took part in the creation of the institutions of Republika Srpska," Minić said. He stressed that her life and political career would remain part of the history of Republika Srpska and a testament to a time of great challenges and difficult decisions, the Republika Srpska Government's Public Relations Bureau said. "By holding the highest state offices, she left her mark on the political life and contemporary history of Republika Srpska," Minić said. On behalf of the Republika Srpska Government and himself, he extended his deepest condolences to the family. "May she rest in peace," the condolence message from the Republika Srpska Prime Minister said. Former Republika Srpska President Biljana Plavšić died in Belgrade this morning at the age of 96.
