PROTOCOL ON SUPPORT FROM SRPSKA BUDGET TO RETURNEE MUNICIPALITIES IN FBiH SIGNED
BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 1 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has said today that a protocol on support from the Srpska budget was signed with the four return municipalities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and from next year they will plan BAM one million each so that they can develop.
After the signing, Dodik said that recently it has been noticed that there is a need for budget support for the municipalities of Grahovo, Glamoč, Drvar and Bosanski Petrovac. "From next year, we will plan the budget item linearly by BAM one million so that they can develop. Municipalities are faced with serious challenges. This is not the sum of all support, but support for local budgets, and the support will be felt more and more in the coming years," Dodik told reporters in the Palace of the Republic. He added that they have had good cooperation so far, and that this gives a guarantee to the local communities that they will have significant support. The mayor of Drvar municipality Dušica Runić thanked the president of Republika Srpska for the initiative to strengthen these local communities. "Independently, we can now count on development projects and we will not rely only on higher levels of government in FBiH," Runić said. The mayor of Bosansko Grahovo Uroš Đuran, who pointed out that this is a great help and hopes that all the projects will be done with these funds, also thanked president Dodik. The mayor of Glamoč Nebojša Radivojša also thanked the president for this support, stressing that it is not the only help in the financial sense. "We had the support of the institutions of Republika Srpska before, but now we will be able to count more significantly on infrastructure projects," said Radivojša. The President of the Municipal Council in Bosanski Petrovac Nemanja Davidović thanked Srpska and its president for their understanding of the municipalities that see a large number of returnees. He pointed out that starting next year, he will have an additional BAM one million in the budget, stressing that this is the basis for development. "In the coming period, we will agree with the institutions of Republika Srpska on significant support for the treatment of our citizens in the Srpska health institutions," Davidović stated. The meeting was attended in the Palace of the Republic by the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović, the Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska Zora Vidović, the Minister of Health and Social Protection Alen Šeranić, the Minister for Science and Technology Development and Higher Education Željko Budimir and the Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation Zlatan Klokić.
