DODIK: IF WHAT SCHMIDT IS DOING IS RULE OF LAW, THEN INSTALL SCHMIDTS IN YOUR OWN COUNTRIES

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 25 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has called on international bureaucrats to, if they believe what Christian Schmidt is doing represents the rule of law, install similar figures in their own countries.

Dodik questioned when the hypocrisy of so-called international bureaucrats will end. "What rule of law are you talking about in a country where a foreigner declares himself the law? A man who sees himself as the constitution, the law, the parliament, the executive branch, the judge, the prosecutor, the central bank, and the election commission – who threatens, punishes, and answers to no one. How long will you continue to treat us like fools and experiment on us like lab rabbits?" Dodik posted on X. He emphasized that the rule of law, according to all books, is based on respect for the constitution – not on the will of an individual. “One person cannot impose decisions as law. It is a criminal act to disregard the constitution and the law, not to act in accordance with them. Legitimacy is won and lost through elections, not in courtrooms,” he added. "If you truly believe that what Schmidt is doing is the rule of law, then install your own Schmidts. Let them make decisions for you, bring you happiness, and hand you your democracy. The only ones responsible for the constitutional crisis in BiH are Schmidt and those of you who support him. He alone tore apart the constitution, and you remained silent. Speaking of rule of law while staying silent as an unelected foreigner—without a mandate and outside the Constitution—passes laws, commands prosecutors, and decides political fates is the height of hypocrisy," Dodik said. He underlined that the time of lies and hiding behind empty phrases is over. "Say it openly: do you support a colonial model of governance and imposed laws brought by a foreigner? If so, then say you want that same model for yourselves before enforcing it upon us. Be honest for once and admit it: you want to fulfill Sarajevo’s wish and eliminate Dodik politically. You can’t beat me in elections, so now you want to do it through legal violence. Only then will I consider you worthy political opponents. As it stands, I see you as nothing more than liars, frauds, and street hustlers," said Dodik. He concluded by stating that Republika Srpska remains a committed and reliable partner to all European countries founded on true democracy and rule by the people—not bureaucrats who take the place of the people.
