KOŠARAC: OUR CALL FOR INTERNAL DIALOGUE WITHOUT FOREIGN INTERFERENCE AND RESPECT FOR DAYTON REMAINS OPEN

EAST SARAJEVO, MAY 17 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska always supports and affirms the need for internal agreement in BiH based on the original Dayton Agreement and the Constitution, without international interventionism, and such an approach is aligned with the positions of the UN Security Council, Russia, China, and the United States, emphasized Staša Košarac, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and member of the SNSD Presidency.
"We confirmed our readiness for dialogue through the Declaration on the Regulation of Relations in BiH, which we offered in Doboj to all parliamentary parties, believing that dialogue and consensus between the two entities and the legitimate representatives of the three constituent peoples are the foundation of political action and stability in BiH, and the key tool for overcoming the constitutional and political crisis," said Košarac. He says that the sovereignty of the entities is guaranteed by the Constitution of BiH and cannot be diminished by unilateral decisions of any body or representative of the international community. "We insist on respecting the constitutional structure of BiH and avoiding unilateral actions that could destabilize the internal order. All attempts to delegitimize democratically elected representatives and institutions are contrary to the constitutional structure of BiH and constitute a violation of the principles of equality and sovereignty of the peoples in BiH. We emphasize the need for institutional dialogue at all levels of government, but without external interference in the sovereignty and internal decisions of political actors in BiH. Decisions concerning internal matters can only be made by legitimate representatives elected in elections and by institutions at all levels of government, in accordance with the constitutions of BiH, Republika Srpska, and the FBiH," Košarac posted on Instagram. He stressed that they condemn and reject all forms of pressure and interference by international institutions, organizations, and individuals who are not foreseen by or elected in accordance with the Dayton Agreement. Košarac says that the legislative, executive, and judicial institutions in BiH must operate autonomously, without external influence and imposed decisions, based solely on laws and regulations adopted by the legal and legitimate representatives of the peoples and citizens in democratic institutions in BiH. "Our call for internal dialogue without foreign interference, respect for the Dayton Agreement and the rights of the three constituent peoples, as well as for the stabilization of the political situation and progress on the EU path, remains open," Košarac said.
