BOJIĆ: ESTABLISHING A MULTIMEDIA MUSEUM IS A STRATEGIC INTEREST OF SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, MAY 31 /SRNA/ – Acting Director of the Public Institution "Memorial Center of Republika Srpska," Denis Bojić, told SRNA that documentation and video recording of testimonies from families of fallen soldiers of the Army of Republika Srpska and civilians from the Defensive-Patriotic War is currently underway, and that the establishment of a multimedia museum is a strategic interest for the Serb people.
"This is a complex project, which carries great responsibility in every aspect. After analyzing the facts, we decided to create a regional division in order to achieve our goals more easily and effectively," Bojić stated in SRNA’s podcast. He thanked the institutions and the President of Republika Srpska for their support in the founding and operation of the Memorial Center. Regarding the video documentation of testimonies, he noted that ten studio centers will be established across Republika Srpska. "We’ve already done this in Mrkonjić Grad and Banja Luka. We have also been in Zvornik, Doboj, and Bratunac – all important cities in the history of Republika Srpska. In Doboj alone, there are around 1,200 families receiving family pensions – parents and spouses of fallen and missing soldiers and civilians. We can collect several thousand testimonies just in Doboj," Bojić explained. He said the project also includes recording testimonies from families of Serb victims in the Republic of Serb Krajina, Croatia, and Kosovo and Metohija. "The institutions of Republika Srpska are faithfully and strongly committed to the culture of remembrance and memory. Everything our historians have collected and recorded represents a significant foundation for us. It will serve as a safeguard and defense of Republika Srpska," Bojić emphasized in the SRNA podcast. Bojić pointed out that Serb families were not prepared for the wars of the 1990s, as shown in the testimonies collected by the center, and highlighted that their neighbors from other ethnic groups were aware of a different scenario. He stated that Republic Day is the essence of Srpska’s existence and that January 9 is the foundation and bulwark of Republika Srpska. "It is our shield, foundation, protection, love, and hope. It shows the strength of one people and one country. This is a matter on which all Serbs are in agreement," Bojić concluded.
