DANGEROUS INTENTIONS BEHIND KONAKOVIĆ'S POLITICAL ACTIONS

EAST SARAJEVO, JUNE 4 /SRNA/ – Head of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Sanja Vulić, told SRNA that Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmedin Konaković has once again demonstrated political irresponsibility and an open connection with certain individuals in the judiciary, warning that dangerous intentions lie behind such actions.
“By calling Milorad Dodik a `criminal` and a `terrorist` and announcing his political elimination, Konaković is openly participating in an attempt to dismantle the constitutional order and destabilize Republika Srpska,” Vulić stated. She emphasized that Dodik is not a fugitive, but a democratically and legitimately elected president of Republika Srpska, chosen by the will of the people. “Unlike the unfounded and politically motivated accusations, Konaković’s own statements raise strong suspicions about his ties with parts of the judiciary. Soon, the public will have the opportunity to learn who his so-called ‘guardian angels’ are in the ‘Dino and Tito’ case,” Vulić emphasized. She further noted it is especially concerning that the unconstitutional Court and Prosecutor’s Office of BiH operate on the basis of acts not adopted by the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, but imposed by Christian Schmidt, a person who lacks confirmation from the UN Security Council and therefore does not hold the legitimacy of a high representative. “It is unheard of and legally unsustainable for judicial institutions to enforce decisions outside of democratic procedures, which constitutes a serious violation of the constitutional order,” said Vulić. According to her, the political crisis in BiH is not caused by legally elected entity representatives, but rather by imposed decisions from an illegitimate OHR and politically motivated activities of the so-called Troika and their partners in the judiciary. “SNSD remains committed to the constitutional order, inter-entity balance, and the European path of BiH, but will firmly defend the institutions of Republika Srpska and the interests of its citizens from all forms of political engineering and legal manipulation,” Vulić said.
