GOGANOVIĆ MEETS WITH MILITARY ATTACHÉS OF THE U.S., AUSTRIA AND ROMANIA: OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT SRPSKA'S OFFICIAL STANCES

EAST SARAJEVO, JULY 22 /SRNA/ - Deputy Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers Aleksandar Goganović told SRNA that, given the current geopolitical circumstances, meetings with the military attachés of the United States, Austria, and Romania are of great importance, as they provide an opportunity to present the official positions of Republika Srpska's institutions, led by Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik.
Today, Goganović held separate meetings with the outgoing military attachés of the US, Austria, and Romania, as part of their farewell visits, and also met with the newly appointed military representatives of these countries. During separate meetings with Colonel Eric R. Adams /USA/, Brigadier Erich Cumberger /Austria/, and Brigadier Robertina Ciobanu /Romania/, as well as the newly appointed military representatives – Christian Han /Austria/ and Cosmin Serban /Romania/, Goganović discussed the existing and future bilateral military cooperation between BiH and these countries. The Deputy Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers expressed his gratitude to all outgoing military attachés for their cooperation and contributions to strengthening partnership relations, and particularly emphasized the importance of the support that the US, Austria, and Romania have provided to the BiH Armed Forces through various training, equipment, and military education programs. He emphasized that the Ministry of Defense will continue to develop relations with its partners in a spirit of mutual respect and with full regard for the Dayton structure of BiH and the jurisdictions of the entities. The meetings highlighted a mutual readiness to continue successful cooperation and work jointly on improving and modernizing BiH's defense system, both through existing mechanisms and new initiatives that will contribute to stability and security in the region. "Peace, stability, and security in BiH and the region are an imperative for Republika Srpska and its leadership. We ask only one thing of both domestic and international actors - that they respect the Dayton Peace Agreement," Goganović told SRNA.
