VIŠKOVIĆ: EU DELEGATION AVOIDED ALL QUESTIONS ABOUT VIJADUKT PAYMENTS AS IF THEY WERE NEVER ASKED

BANJA LUKA, JULY 23 /SRNA/ – The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković has stated today in Banja Luka that the Delegation of the European Union in BiH, by avoiding giving concrete answers to questions related to payments according to the arbitration decision for Vijadukt, has supported the imposed decision of the illegitimate Christian Schmidt.
"Until now, European officials, in all talks, were against imposing any decisions, and now they have officially supported these imposed decisions," Višković emphasized. According to him, the answers to questions about Vijadukt addressed to the Head of the EU Delegation in BiH were avoided as if they were never asked. "If it is a Slovenian company, why are the funds not paid into their account there? Which fund, from which country, is behind all this?" Višković asked. He reminded that the EU treats the Channel Islands as the third world, where money flows are under the veil of suspicious transactions. "This means that this money could end up financing some future campaign of certain political parties, maybe even in BiH," Višković told RTRS. Višković emphasized that he did not want to address the OHR, because Republika Srpska does not recognize Schmidt, but that he expected the EU to answer all the questions posed by the Government of Republika Srpska. Višković also reminded that yesterday at the Council of Ministers session, there was mention of a law office that would examine everything related to Vijadukt. "Why the sudden enlightenment now, why didn't you examine everything before you made the decision?" Višković stressed. He emphasized that Republika Srpska will continue to seek answers and is investigating ways through legal teams to sue individuals from BiH for the damage they have caused to BiH citizens. "In just one day, with just one of his imposed decisions, Schmidt took around BAM 200 million from Srpska, but I say to him and to everyone else that we will survive this blow to Republika Srpska," Višković said. He stated that Republika Srpska will not stop asking questions about this case as long as the OHR office and the EU ambassador in BiH exist, who is obliged to provide answers to the citizens of Srpska. Prime Minister Višković sent a letter on July 18 to the Head of the EU Delegation in BiH Luigi Soreca, in which he stated that he could not accept his and the EU’s position giving unconditional support to the illegal Christian Schmidt, who has no right to make decisions in the financial sphere of BiH. The Government of Srpska announced yesterday that the response from the EU Delegation in BiH did not provide concrete and clear answers, thereby belittling the citizens of Srpska who have the right to accurate and verified information. As stated, the EU Delegation did not provide any answer regarding suspicious transactions and payments to offshore company accounts in the Channel Islands, whose representatives are unknown.
