KALUŽA: BiH IS BACK ON THE TABLE PROVING IT IS UNFINISHED COUNTRY

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 8 /SRNA/ – Closed consultations of the UN Security Council have proven that the problems in BiH have escalated to the point where they exceed local and regional levels, said international relations expert Lučiano Kaluža.

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 8 /SRNA/ – Closed consultations of the UN Security Council have proven that the problems in BiH have escalated to the point where they exceed local and regional levels, said international relations expert Lučiano Kaluža.

"The problems have escalated to such an extent that they need to be discussed by the UN Security Council. Accordingly, regardless of how negotiations and the informing of member states have taken place, the next session will prove BiH is an unfinished country," Kaluža stated. He pointed out that all of this indicates that the situation in BiH has gone beyond local and regional boundaries. "The big powers are negotiating BiH's future placing it back on the table," Kaluža emphasized. He believes that it is never good when decisions are made without the people, i.e. their elected representatives, but pointed to the fact that the countries supporting the unappointed and illegitimate Christian Schmidt were warned that such problems could arise. "I believe that now all essential issues will be opened and discussed, one of which is the negative influence of Schmidt, who has been supported by several countries that advocate opening political conflicts in BiH with the aim of completely delegitimizing one side, which is Republika Srpska," Kaluža said. The UN Security Council held closed consultations last night regarding the situation in BiH, following the decision of the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH on Wednesday, August 6, to revoke the mandate of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, who received the support of 300,000 citizens in the 2022 elections. The Permanent Mission of Russia to the UN warned the Security Council that the actions of the illegal Christian Schmidt could lead to serious problems in BiH, stated Deputy Russian Ambassador to the UN Dmitry Polyanskiy.
