REFERENDUM IN SRPSKA AS SUPPORT FOR DODIK'S SOVEREIGNIST POLICY

PALE, AUGUST 20 /SRNA/ – Former Speaker of the National Assembly of Srpska Dragan Kalinić told SRNA that the verdict against President Milorad Dodik represents the peak of an anti-sovereignist policy and stressed that the announced referendum in Republika Srpska should be held, which will show how absurd and misguided certain court decisions are.

He noted that the verdict against the institution of the President of the Republic cannot be accepted, nor can the attack on Dodik’s sovereignist policy. Kalinić believes that the attempt to impose early elections in Republika Srpska cannot be accepted and that power cannot be handed over on a platter to a frustrated opposition and the self-proclaimed High Representative. "Even if a legal interregnum has been `created,` it will be bridged by the announced referendum as the highest expression of the political will of our citizens. If that is possible in Europe, in the world, why wouldn't it be possible here as well?" Kalinić asked. He recalled that there had been such cases in BiH even before the tragic war conflict that was imposed on the Serbs. "Schmidt and these vassals in Sarajevo and in Republika Srpska are spreading the story that this is playing with fire again. I think the opposite. A referendum, in which I believe the majority of our citizens will take part, will help de-escalate the political situation," Kalinić assessed. But, in his view, it will also show to what extent certain court decisions are absurd and misguided. "It is this `positive outcome` that parts of the opposition in Republika Srpska fear, because the desired seats in Sarajevo and Banja Luka will remain empty. When the legal team's appeals go through all instances in BiH, the case will reach the Court in Strasbourg," Kalinić emphasized. In his opinion, it is not excluded, in the context of new geopolitical changes, that this entire controversial matter will end up before the UN Security Council. "The last thing the world needs is a new fire in BiH and in this region," said Kalinić, who is also a member of the Founders of Republika Srpska Association. He pointed out that BiH, even today, 30 years after the Dayton Agreement, with greater or lesser intensity, has remained a testing ground where globalists and sovereignists measure their strength, while Western embassies and various High Representatives have been destroying BiH from within for years. Kalinić said that BiH could have become a true state of two entities and three constituent peoples if, by chance, it had managed to survive on the original Dayton principles. "As it is, day by day it proves itself to be an impossible state, because, among other things, at least two peoples are dissatisfied with life in it," Kalinić pointed out. He assessed that the current, and so far the most severe, political crisis is the result of the undisguised actions of the so-called deep state /American-democratic and quasi-European/. He said that these dark forces, Western embassies, and various High Representatives have destroyed BiH from within. They have remained persistent, Kalinić added, in the narrative that the Serbs are a rebellious and politically immature people – from Croatia, through BiH, all the way to Serbia – and that they must constantly be punished, disciplined, and persecuted. "Let us not forget – even before the war we created a free, democratic state as an expression of the sovereign will of our people. And let us not forget that we transferred part of our sovereignty to that `new` BiH," Kalinić stressed. On the other side, Kalinić said, these European globalists have, through frenzied propaganda, created the image that Muslims, supposedly with their civic orientation, are the only salvation for the survival of BiH. "And we all know that they are sickly filled with a unitarist mantra, and not a small number of them with hatred as well," Kalinić assessed. According to him, supranational Europeans unreservedly claim that there are, after all, suitable Serbs in BiH – presumably new Bogićevićs and Lazovićs – who, together with such "pro-European Muslims/Bosniaks," can once again make BiH a "normal state." "In such an environment, since Dayton and especially in recent years, there has been a campaign against nationally aware Serbs who do not hide their devotion to national and popular sovereignty and to the idea that the people are the bearers of that sovereignty," Kalinić pointed out. Therefore, he concluded, power arises from the people and belongs to the people, and only the people have the right to decide the fate of that power. "On this basis, the institutions of Republika Srpska were established and function. And the President of the Republic, the National Assembly, and the Government are an expression of the legal and legitimate will of the people expressed in free elections," Kalinić stressed. "If these principles were valid in the French Revolution and after the American Civil War – why shouldn't they be valid today?" Kalinić asked.
