DODIK: REFERENDUM ON OCTOBER 18 OR 25

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 21 /SRNA/ – The President of Srpska Milorad Dodik has stated today in Banja Luka that the ruling coalition in Srpska agrees that the referendum should be held on October 18 or 25, and the question could be – whether the people accept that Christian Schmidt is dismantling the constitutional order of Srpska and that the unconstitutional court destroys the Constitution with its decisions and removes officials elected by the people.

Dodik said that a large popular NO can be expected in the referendum. “The referendum question may be modified, but this is the essence. Last night there was no official coalition meeting, as we have formal and informal consultations. It was a working dinner, and we talked about politics, sports, and some other matters. Due to procedures that must be observed, we agreed that the referendum will be in October, although I previously said it could be in September,” the President of Srpska told journalists in Banja Luka. He emphasized that for holding the referendum, it is necessary to secure funds, form a commission for its implementation, and determine the referendum question. “We decided that the commission for implementing the referendum will be from the National Assembly of Srpska. By law, we cannot have a period shorter than 30 days for holding the referendum,” Dodik added. He stressed that a political struggle lies ahead and that Srpska does not create politics of conflict. “We believe that as a constituent people we have the right to an opinion, and we obtain it in the way the world understands, which is a referendum. After this, we will demand that the will of the people be respected, and if it is not, then we will create other referendums. We believe that the people must be asked,” Dodik emphasized. According to him, there is an illegal structure of Christian Schmidt and the court attempting to destroy the legal structure of Srpska, which is part of a hybrid war. Dodik noted that this is being carried out by Europeans, that previously something like this was done by the Biden administration in the USA, and the current one does not do it. “However, there are individuals from the former administration, and in the coming days we will say who they are and how they further complicated the situation in BiH. Through friends and connections, we will inform the top of the USA about them, and I believe they will not remain in their current positions,” Dodik stressed. He stated that the National Assembly, at a special session, will adopt conclusions that the people and Srpska do not want elections, that they should not be announced, and that they will not be conducted. “Everyone will have to implement the decision that there are no elections, and this applies to the police and public facilities. I am grateful to some political parties that do not want to participate in these dishonest actions, but I also see some who want to use the Muslims to elect whoever they want in Srpska, which is the best path to hell,” Dodik pointed out. He said that tomorrow’s session of the National Assembly, at which the possibility of elections will be rejected, will be a serious test of the political will of the Serb people. Dodik said he is also pleased with the stance of the Croats on the Dayton Agreement, who said they would never have signed it if they had known it would be a deception. He asked how it is possible that Judge Sena Uzunović does not try those who killed Serbs in Bradina and Konjic. “Everything is created by the Muslims and the German. We will not do that. The people are not asking for elections; usually the opposition or the authorities do. Why should we accept elections then!? We will not have elections when they want, but when the people demand it. If it remains that the unconstitutional court of BiH rules on individuals, then Srpska will be degraded to the point that it will not exist. I was judged by Muslims. That is why unity is necessary for us,” Dodik concluded.
