MRKAJIĆ: JULIAN REILLY AND CHRISTIAN SCHMIDT ARE POLITICAL TUTORS OF THE OPPOSITION

BRATUNAC, AUGUST 23 /SRNA/ - The British Ambassador to BiH, Julian Reilly, has openly assumed the role of political tutor and directing authority for the opposition in Republika Srpska, the president of the SNSD Municipal Board in Bratunac, Marko Mrkajić, told SRNA.

"Instead of representing the interests of the people who elected them, the opposition leaders humbly follow the instructions and advice from Reilly and Christian Schmidt, as if they are their superiors and as if they, rather than the people of Republika Srpska, elected them," Mrkajić said. He said that Reilly is acting like a governor in BiH rather than an ambassador, handing out lessons and threats, while the opposition bows to him and treats every word as an order. "Just last night, immediately before the vote on very important decisions, he sent them a message via social media on how to behave in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, which they humbly followed. In doing so, they clearly showed that their politics are not the politics of Republika Srpska, but of foreign centers of power," Mrkajić stated. He said that yesterday the people had the opportunity to clearly see who controls the opposition, why Igor Crnadak left the session, and why the opposition MPs behaved the way they did, insulting the institutions of Republika Srpska, especially those who created and defended them. "Anyone who did not believe it until now saw it last night – those who obey Reilly do not listen to the people, and those who bow to a foreign ambassador can never be defenders of Republika Srpska. The opposition has once again proven that it values the will of foreigners, pats on the shoulder, and empty promises more than Republika Srpska, the freedom, and the dignity of their own people," Mrkajić said.
