DODIK: BiH IS THE ONLY COLONY IN EUROPE, TO BE DIVIDED IS CIVILIZATIONAL JUSTICE
BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 6 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik has emphasized that BiH is the only colony in Europe, and that the only fair and civilizationally just solution is for it to be divided.
Dodik says that Republika Srpska will not allow a political process of power transfer, as it does not want Muslims to be the ones to decide the fate of the Serb people. "We want to make decisions in the way the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution gave us the right to, which no one pays attention to anymore. Only small nations like us still refer to international law. The powerful ones are arrogant, they make up new rules every day," Dodik said, adding that it is encouraging that U.S. President Donald Trump wants to restore the rule of law. Dodik points out that no one is interested in restoring the original Dayton Peace Agreement. "That's why I believe the only realistic and correct thing for us is to secure our independence from BiH. This is not separatism, we created BiH through an agreement, we can only leave it through that same agreement, we cannot be separatists," Dodik emphasized. He noted that the governing system in BiH is essentially what he called "ambassadorocracy", where foreign ambassadors overturn every internal agreement in BiH if it doesn’t suit them. "In BiH, 280 laws have been imposed, and 900 people have been dismissed from their positions - this has been going on for 30 years. I can understand that interventionism was necessary right after the war, but I don’t understand what it is now," Dodik said in a podcast with American journalist Lara Logan. Dodik highlighted that one of the good thing established by the Dayton Peace Agreement was the inter-entity boundary line, clearly defining what belongs to Republika Srpska and what belongs to the Federation of BiH /FBiH/. He also says only the Muslims in BiH are threatening war, while none of the Serb political representatives have mentioned possible war. "We don’t want a single centimeter of Muslim territory. Muslims who live here in Republika Srpska live freely, while Serbs in the Federation are completely humiliated to the point that many Serb villages still don’t even have electricity," Dodik stated. In Republika Srpska, Dodik said, 12% of the population are Bosniaks, while 470,000 Serbs used to live in the Federation of BiH before the war; today there are only 35,000, mostly in majority Serb-populated municipalities. Dodik claims there is no Bosnian identity, but rather a Muslim identity that is being imposed as Bosnian. "I don’t dispute their right to practice that identity, but I don’t want to lose mine. I don’t identify with BiH. BiH is not my country, it was never a country of the Serbs," Dodik stressed.
